Youth Development Funds

The DHS IL program contracts with NRCYS and a fiscal agent to provide youth in care with a variety of miscellaneous services. Some, but not all, of these services (numbers indicate limits) are:

  • Birth certificate (one)
  • Driver’s education classes
  • Photo IDs
  • College entrance exams (two)
  • Required work uniforms
  • GED prep classes
  • Tutoring fees
  • Teen panel reimbursements
  • Gas cards for work/school
  • Luggage
  • Transportation vouchers
